Flying – Concert of Tsvetan Momchilov

Flying – Concert of Tsvetan Momchilov

“Flying” is an original musical solo project by pianist and French horn player Tsvetan Momchilov. The performance invites the audience into a meditative sonic journey where contemporary classical textures meet ambient soundscapes. Through piano, French horn, voice, electronics and live processing, Tsvetan shapes an intimate sonic world in which nature, rhythm and inner stillness intertwine. “Flying” unfolds as a sequence of shifting landscapes — from delicate harmonic fields to pulsating rhythmic patterns — revealing the subtle resonance between the human body and the surrounding environment.

Tsvetan Momchilov is a musician, French horn and piano player, and composer working across contemporary classical, ambient and experimental music. He has performed as a French horn player with Bulgarian orchestras including the Sofia Philharmonic and the Bulgarian National Radio Orchestra, and is the author of music for numerous contemporary performing arts productions. In 2022 he was highlighted by Dance Magazine (Bulgaria) as one of the most distinctive Bulgarian electronic music composers for the dance and club scene. He is the founder of the music production school and online platform Omni’s Cool and the creator of the solo project Chillov.

Over the past years he has developed an ongoing artistic presence in Sweden, working in key performance spaces such as MDT, Weld, ccap in Stockholm, and Köttinspektionen in Uppsala. He works regularly with the Europe-based artistic team STEAM ROOM, contributing music to their ICC and other performance contexts. His visits to Sweden include residencies and presentations with STEAM ROOM, as well as solo collaborations with choreographer Zhanna Pencheva. He has also performed a live set of his solo project Chillov at MDT.
