Igor Unplugged! is a hilariously twisted musical comedy that reanimates Mary Shelley’s story from the perspective of the Doctor’s long-suffering, shockingly talented assistant.
While Frankenstein obsesses over lifeless bodies, Igor dreams of true art. Feeling under-appreciated, Igor applies for a job with Dr. Papillon, a superstar scientist with flair, ambition, and an unsettling amount of enthusiasm. Is this the assistant’s big break—or just another electrifying disaster waiting to happen?
With a blend of gallows humour and catchy tunes, Igor Unplugged! dives headfirst into themes of ambition, identity, and the messy business of creation. Originally an award-winning short musical film, this stage adaptation amps things up with expanded songs and a few surprises..
