Fanfiction är en monologföreställning som tar sin utgångspunkt i en 12-årig flickas stora förälskelse i Måns Zelmerlöw. Den undersöker den omöjliga, imaginära och samtidigt helt reella förälskelsen som kan uppstå i förhållande till en idol.
Av resterna från sitt tidigare flickrum skapar scenkonstnären Johanna Karlsson ett eget universum av videoprojektion, fotografier, brev, idolaffischer och en glittrig häst i plast. Hon klipper sönder minnen och fotografier för att utifrån dem skapa en ny verklighet.
Hon är både Julia och Romeo. Måns Zelmerlöw. Hon är en förälskad 12-åring och en 25-åring som sörjer att något har tagit slut.
Föreställningen är ett slags sceniskt fanzine och en fantasi om att bli älskad. Men också en vilja att bryta sig fri. Att vilja bli någon annan.

Fanfiction is a monologue about a 12-year-old girl’s infatuation with the singer Måns Zelmerlöw. It explores the impossible, imaginary, but also the immensely real passion that can arise for an idol.
From pieces of the room where she grew up as a little girl, performance artist Johanna Karlsson creates a universe with video, photographies, letters, posters and a glittery horse made of plastic. She cuts apart memories and photographs in an endeavour to create something new.
She is both Julia and Romeo. She is Måns Zelmerlöw. She is a 12-year-old with a crush and a 25-year-old who mourn something that has ended.
The performance is a scenic fanzine about a longing to belong and a fantasy of being loved. But also about a willingness to break free and to be someone else.
