Enlightenment's new ways of thinking, scientific discoveries, two amazing intellects and an epic love story. But why do we not know anything about Emilie, Voltaire's brilliant girlfriend?
Throughout history, women's voices and research have been silenced, overlooked and exploited.
In this performance about love, science and forgotten women, Felicia Bichard questions the patriarchy. Who was the beautiful and rich noble lady Émilie du Châtelet?
What other women are forgotten, whose discoveries have been stolen? And what does it look like today?
